Originating from the picturesque town of Como, Italy, Filippo Mambretti’s journey into the realm of design was shaped by a childhood immersed in the rich artisanal heritage of his family. Raised amidst the craftsmanship of his grandparents, who were artisans specializing in furniture and statues, Mambretti developed an innate appreciation for the culture and history of design from a young age.

His formative years were marked by a serendipitous encounter with the renowned designer Bruno Munari during his art studies in secondary school. This encounter served as a catalyst for Mambretti’s academic pursuits, leading him to enroll at Milan Polytechnic, where he honed his skills and earned degrees in interior design and furniture design.

Mambretti’s multifaceted career encompasses roles as a teacher, designer, and recipient of numerous prestigious awards. He shares his wealth of knowledge and expertise with aspiring designers through collaborations with esteemed design schools such as SSS_AA, Csia, IED, and Politecnico di Milano, enriching the next generation of creative minds.
