Dadara

Moooi Carpets

Dadara rose to fame in the early nineties for his exceptional talent in designing album covers and flyers for the emerging house scene. This marked the beginning of his remarkable career as a versatile artist, encompassing painting, installation art, performance art, design, and cartooning. Notable projects like the crying baby speakers and the Greyman statue of No Liberty further solidified his reputation.

As the new millennium dawned, Dadara’s artistic direction shifted towards creating extravagant interactive installations in public spaces. He embarked on audacious endeavors such as establishing his own bank and founding a religion centered around social media. Many of these awe-inspiring installations were showcased at the renowned Burning Man festival in the Nevada desert.

Dadara’s work serves as a distorted reflection of our society, akin to a vibrant Black Mirror with a glimmering Rainbow at the end. His current series of Mandalas showcases his meticulous craftsmanship, with intricately detailed spinning paintings that offer a meditative escape in a world that often feels chaotic and uncontrollable.
